Through Tiktin Gives Back, TREIS Helps Build 12,000 Meals for Those in Need
MIAMI (December 2, 2020)—On Wed., Nov. 25th, the day before Thanksgiving, the team at Tiktin Real Estate Investment Services (TREIS) spent the morning volunteering with Feeding South Florida, a member of the Feeding America network of food banks and the leading domestic hunger-relief organization serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties.
TREIS gathered at Feeding South Florida’s warehouse facility in Pembroke Park where they helped inspect, sort, and repackage donated food that would later be built into meal boxes for distribution. Strict health guidelines put forth by the CDC and Feeding South Florida were followed. In total, TREIS packaged over 13,000 pounds of food, equating to approximately 12,000 meals for those in need.
“The need for food assistance throughout South Florida has more than doubled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated Adam J. Tiktin, president and broker, TREIS. “Feeding South Florida is a remarkable organization doing tremendous work to benefit the community. The day of volunteering was part of TREIS’ philanthropic initiative campaign, Tiktin Gives Back. Launched in 2018, Tiktin Gives Back partners the commercial real estate investment sales brokerage firm with various local nonprofit organizations throughout the year. Tiktin Gives Back aims to build team morale and corporate culture, encourage corporate social responsibility and promote local nonprofit organizations.
